Writer: One who paints with words

ABOUT
ME!
My name is Sanna. I'm a writer and editor from Maryland (the tiny state), but I grew up between different countries. I lived in Egypt during both of its recent uprisings and in UAE when the tallest building in the world was under construction. My experiences have taught me a lot of things, but mainly I have learned this: words are magic. They are glue, scissors, and rocks. They are destructors and builders. Lullabies and songs. They are the color of the universe; an unconquerable tool used since the dawn of time. And despite all of that, few people can string them together well, build a whole world out of them, cast them and recast them. I was (and am still) enchanted by the word and what it can do. I want to learn to be better and practice to write better because writing is beauty. We may say that beauty is unnecessary, that it is superficial. But how then do we justify our love of the stars, the sunrise, and the golden leaves of autumn? A word, which a writer embodies, is just that.
